Complex requirements | successfully combined with X-class standard

The flood disaster in the Ahr valley was one of the most devastating natural disasters in Germany in recent years. On the night of July 14-15, 2021, extreme rainfall led to massive flooding. The water level of the Ahr rose dramatically and many places in the Ahr Valley were surprised by the masses of water.

The Levana School, located in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, was severely damaged and the symbolic moment when the clock stopped at 1:34 am marks the beginning of this disaster and the loss of time and normality for the inhabitants of the region. Many people had to leave their homes and there was a tragic loss of life.

The initial situation

Pupils and teachers at Levana School had to travel long distances to attend or organize lessons due to the existing Levana School building falling victim to the flood – a double burden that both parties had to bear for a long time! Since 25.04.2023, the Levana School in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler has been able to successfully resume school operations in our mobile rooms from the X-class product line. Cumbersome journeys are now a thing of the past!

A challenge

This is a special mobile room project, specially tailored to the educational needs of physically and mentally impaired pupils.

A challenge that we are happy to take on and have also created suitable mobile space solutions for this! For example, complex equipment was used to ensure accessibility in the form of special platform elevators that provide barrier-free access to all floors away from the regular stairwell. The systems were precisely planned in advance and designed with all criteria in mind during the rental period so that the focus remains on sustainability in relation to the rolling project business. In addition, there are also so-called care bathrooms on all floors, which were developed in advance by AMTRA and delivered ready for use, quickly and safely. To date, teaching has taken place barrier-free in our mobile rooms.
