What requirements need to be met for commercial containers?
For a commercial container such as the X-base module from AMTRA to be set up safely, the following requirements must be met:
- level and stable surface (e.g. asphalt, concrete, gravel)
- Access width at least 3 m, clearance height at least 4 m
- Maneuvering area of approx. 10 m in front of the parking space
- Clear height above the storage space of up to 6 m (for large containers)
- No fixed obstacles (e.g. walls, hedges, fences) in the delivery area
- Special use permit if the room container is located on public land
These framework conditions ensure that delivery, installation and collection run smoothly and without delays.
Do I need a permit to install the container?
Yes, in most cases a permit is required, especially if the container is placed on public property (e.g. street, sidewalk or parking lot). You must apply for a permit from the relevant public order office or local authority. The lead time for this can be several weeks and costs may be incurred.
