Room container system for Merck’s anniversary celebrations

The science and technology group Merck is celebrating its 350th anniversary in a spectacular location: the company erected several mobile dome tents at its main plant in Darmstadt. Technical facilities, changing rooms and the backstage area are housed separately in a two-storey room container system from AMTRA.

Merck calls its tent ensemble “Vibrant Village”, which catches the eye from afar thanks to the “M-Sphere” with a height of 20 meters and a diameter of 50 meters and its colourful shell. While the tents are primarily intended for the guests’ stay and entertainment, important facilities for operations are housed in a two-storey room container system from AMTRA.

The building is directly adjacent to the “M-Sphere” and houses the event technology, the artists’ changing rooms and the backstage area, among other things. Studio Hamburg’s sanitary facilities and technical equipment are also located in these containers.

AMTRA equips its sanitary modules with high-quality fittings and efficient heating and hot water technology as standard, offering users a high level of comfort.

Staircase integrated into the system

Special features of AMTRA’s room container system include the server room’s sophisticated air-conditioning technology, which ensures the safe operation of the technology even in extreme summer heat.

Whereas in many room container buildings the staircase is often located on the outside, here the staircase was installed in two containers and therefore runs inside the building.

Smooth assembly thanks to good pre-planning

Thanks to the strip foundations prepared on site, our fitters were able to install the twenty AMTRA X-base Line containers quickly and as planned, with our site manager always available as a contact person for the customer. Our commitment was rewarded by the high praise from our customer for the punctual and professional execution of the installation.

Breakdown-free operation thanks to 360° service

In addition to our comfortable room container modules, we were also able to convince Merck of our broad service portfolio: until the facility is dismantled at the end of the year, our technicians will ensure smooth operation as part of our 360° service.
